New neck ornamentation jewelry

Today Dr office called to tell me a man named Jimmy Rodgers ( In my mind I was visualising the musician my mother used to listen to) LOL would be by to show and teach me something new for the surgery stuff.

Did not know what to expect but matches the brace and that is good since must wear it 4 hrs a day for about 3 months at this point. yippee i yi kiya don't know how to spell my enthusiasm.

Special time effects come along with it if I have phone near I tick or am on the phone can hear it. Also comes with back light for those dark days and resets itself at midnight each day during recharge. assesories included , so special!!!

better news steri strips came off and incision doesn't look bad, I really impressed with the stitches better way better than my knee surgeon..... but if weak don't look at new pic coming up!

Just thought would throw update in for you all out their in blog land, and I can not take credit for this art and jewelry unless I trick it out and have had suggestions to not, Just throw as far as can when thru with all..

Forgotten pics of things I finished before surgery!

This is some things I found at Michael's in their kid decor and thought they looked like paint brush and paint bottle holders to me.....Whatcha think?

covered in Ten Seconds Studio's old Red metal before I bought the new red .

Painted all with a sea foam type green then used some distress ink over some of that that wasn't papered or metaled..You can see some of the papers I used in next pic below.

The next pic is back of big bird holder....Left back of bird plain, Just did the outer box part.

Boys had been after me to finish some of the bigger items for their apartment so did it before goin under the knife.....Papers used in their cross collage...largest canvas I that was square maybe 30x30 and don't remember the dimensions of second canvas but do know wooden cross was like 4 1/2 x 6, really not sure but took rosette off of it , thought this metal cross that was white and I distressed with black to go with the rock star black metal looked more like my guys.Papers were a line from Bo-bunny I believe, but don't quote me on that.

Got to use some of http://tensecondsstudios.com new Kabuka molds on this with some cuttlebug folders added in they were really happy with it the day I had them pick up their things.

Really do like the way the cast iron cross that had been painted white looked on the wooden one once I distressed it back to some black in it.

The next item is the first class I took from Tensesconds studios and had never finished and surprised the boys with pis of their grandparents on them.

And when Cheryl was cleaning out the studio over flow and bought this old plastic sign from a store front that had silver plastic in center so pieced some molds and rock star metal for the guys to figure out where they would put it since Casey and Matt are both Cooks but then Casey's name starts with C also. Hope to go see where they have hung all their things when get to go out more.

got some other pics but they did not get the finished items to go with them so will wait. Can't wait to get back into craft room, Casey brought me Three somerset Mags to get me thinking 90 t0 nothing , and already have several things wanna try. But energy level isn't up with the speed of my mind yet.

PS ....Wesley is having surgery again tomorrow at Cooks Children's at 1PM We just found out tonight ..think that is why I am not sleeping yet, Not as bad as last surgery but still in brain area ....

Been busy!

Some of the things that have kept me busy....Haven't blogged as much with trying to get Christmas done. I have nearly got the pain back to where I can't stand it and need to go back but trying so hard to wait until after the holidays. This is one of the double sided pendants to interchange with anothe pendant to follow. This side is my sisters and me fishing! This is the other side of my parents and big sis before lil sisters and me came along! The next few pics are the neclace that this pendant will interchange with.. Pmc and shell...The earrings have a brick texture, and the neck pendant has Faith hope and love texture and brick on backside. the small charm on back connection has music texture.

The next items are PMC pendants that will go on 18 inch S. silver and be able to change out...Remember the heart plate holder I was working on for grandson to hang swords on I finished it also.....

The finished metal is with a celtic shape and painted the rest black.

It turned out pretty cool. Working on old photos and putting together a n album for Brother in Law, hope I can finish it although doing it really plain with no bells and whistles..Think it will work though.

Keep creating and hopefully I will be back before Christmas for some more items Finished.

renters damage and moving Jami into the house!

We have really worn our selves out in two weeks of work and have started actually hanging stuff on the walls and will post those pics when I remember my camera...Still have lots to do to help and have felt like crap and really shouldn't have done as much as I have. But it was so bad...So here is some of the drama pics of the nightmares we had to fix and what we have done so far.

Tyler my oldest grandsons room is all kinds of sport but mostly skateboarding and helped pick colors 1st window pick color is soooo wrong so 4th and 5th coats are with a reddish orange which we are sticking with and the blue gray which looks great with his black furniture, oops sorry case got ya in pic!!!

The bathroom unfinished from renters and we are still fixing but so far we have kilnzed the black spray paint and Jason just finished redoing the plumbing they broke and the backing he had to replace also, they bent the pipes somehow?

We will be painting the bathroom a green and a gold to math her stuff an existing floor.

Before Renters nursery another project they did not finish I think?

We had to kilnz the orange and baby blue like the metallic mess.

In the boys room to paint a nautical blue with white trim for all their red white and blue stuff.




Jami's is not happy that i am getting her and Jason in the pics cuz we all tired!!!!!

My daughter and I have been busy covering disaster left by the last two sets of renters on my Motherinlaws house which they are now buying so that the grand kids and my daughter and son in law are around the block from me. the living room kitchen and their master bedroom are all going to be a golden color with a light brown trim. much better than before.

This is the front living room and the last renter painted around the furniture taupe was what my motherinlaw had and on top of that she added Terra cotta color randomly and brown on some of the woodwork then copper metallic randomly on top of that....the pic don't do it justice it was a bad attempt !

We also have been fighting some kitten sized friends who have found their way to partying in the house . Boys had me take pics of us catching 2 but will spare you those pics.

Overall I am not happy tonight blogger and I are not getting along trying to download and set this up the way i wanted but it is like my days lately womper jawed and crazy...Keep crafting and doing something creative...till tomorrow or when I get back to blog.....Denise

Family Auction 08

My Family Reunion was this past weekend and I did not get to go with Jami moving into Moms house . The house they were moving to was a mess from the past 2 sets of renters, plus I am just not able to do things for long periods of time in the heat. Although I did too much at Jami's.
These are the items I sent with my big sis to the Auction the first was a book on my sisters The altered book had all 5 of us in it.
My little sister won out but would not tell me how much she spent.. front of book

2ND item was a large canvas I think it was 18x24 was multi media used caulk, cheesecloth, metal embossing from Ten Seconds Studio on their choc brown metal

The 2 pics are My grandfather and his twin and then

the other is the family they were from the original thirteen kids that started the Haws Family Reunion and my Great Grandparents in the center of that picture.

Used some dominoes and dice for the family games and then watch faces for the time that has passed and then just bits and pieces of ephemera.

I also inked the back side of the metal on the two canvases where the canvases are curled out with butterscotch alchol ink and rust alchol ink, similar colors were used of acrylic paints to paint in the textured canvas.

The twins did tell me that one of my cousins beat them out for 75 dollars for this one. Overall our family reunion is dwindling and the younger familys arent coming becuz of other commitments so looks like for the first time in over a hundred years we are going to one day instead of three at a state park facilty and cabins. This really makes me sad since I did not go this year. I grew up every year looking forward to the trip to the reunion. Since all the family had girls except for my uncle Dudley having Mike and Mike had all girls the Haws name is also going to disappear When Mike passes.

Only us keepers of family photos and history will go on.....That makes me as sad as when all my Aunt and Uncles and My Mom and Dad passed on.
